Yesterday @virtualthoughts was at the #EvernoteLife tech meetup with bloggers at Club Lounge, Chancery Pavilion @ChanceryPav, organised by Evernote India (@Evernote_IN).
Mr Troy Malone (@troymalone), General Manager for Evernote APAC was at the event to give some insights on the Evernote, its growth, presence in India and Road ahead. Here are some interesting facts that came out during the event:
- Evernote currently has about 16 lakh subscribers in India
- About 4000 odd new users are exploring Evernote everyday!
- Evernote has strategic tie ups with mobile manufacturers like Micromax and Spice Mobile wherein Evernote app comes bundled with 3 months of free premium account
- Evernote would continue to offer ads-free version for free account as well, while currently there no plans introduce India specific pricing for premium account
After the infamous data breach a few months back, some of the steps Evernote incorporated to enhance data security includes :
- 2 Factor Authentication
- Access History
- Authorised Applications
- Pin Lock / Mobile passcodes for notes (currently available to premium accounts on Android devices only)
