History Of Viruses, Their Evolution And Sophistication, A TED Talk

Did you know that the world’s first Computer Virus was created 25 years back and it had the complete details of its creators including address and contact details? No, I am not kidding and infact name of the virus was Brain.A a computer boot secotr virus and it was created by two brothers based out of Pakistan 🙂 There is a nice video, pretty recent one delivered by Mikko Hypponen  at one of the TED events that took place in July, this year at Edinburgh.   1. Open Firefox
  2. Type “about:config” in the address bar
  3. Type Private in filter. Preference relating to Private browsing is displayed below
  4. Right Click on the browser.privatebrowsing.autostart and select Toggle. Values are now set to user defined & true
  5. Bingo! Firefox now starts every session of your browsing activity in Private Browsing Mode. Rest is not history 🙂
